Andrew’s first Hair Cut

I had been wanting to get Andrew’s hair cut for a couple weeks – and it finally happened, spur of the moment.  BJ and I were out running errands separately when he called and asked me to meet up with him on my way home and take Andrew so he could stop and get a haircut.  I was NOT planning to take Andrew here – I had researched all the local kids places and had chosen one of them.  Well….sometimes plans change.  We went in and were the only ones in there so I decided, why not?  It’s only hair!

The girl was great, patient and quick!  Andrew wanted to keep looking around and would turn his head often – but he sat better than we ever expected.

Introducing – The new Andrew!

I love it.  He seems old.  sniff sniff.

Roller Skating Party?!

A boy in Bailey’s class had a birthday party today at the Skating Rink.  She had never been on Roller Skates before so I was prepared for DISASTER!  Overall, I was pleasantly surprised – they have skates for kids that make it super easy to skate (or walk and glide a little).

Christmas Day!

Santa came!  And so did MaMaw and PaPaw.  We opened gifts and then played all day! It was fun!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was very low-key and enjoyable.  We decorated Santa’s cookies, went to church and watched The Polar Express in our jammies with hot chocolate.

This year Dr. Lincoln’s message was on being a “giver.”  God is the ultimate example as He gave His son for us – people who typically don’t deserve Him.

Isaiah 9:6  (NIV)  6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa

While Grandma and Grandpa were visiting we celebrated Christmas the afternoon before they left.  Here are the highlights!

Nothing says “I love you” like pillow shams and a Sparky’s t-shirt!

Andrew was napping through most of it, so he didn’t get in many photos.  =(.

Bailey LOVED everything she got.  She was so excited through it all and had cute comments for each gift as she opened them.

Surprise gift of the day…..Elsa and Anna magiclip dolls!  With TONS of dresses!  Bailey hasn’t put these down.  They have changed dresses 100’s of times already.  Way to go Uncle Pat and Aunt Denise!

BJ got a new shower head!  It is going to feel like it is raining!  (We had to leave our old one when we moved.)  And I really like my new scarf!  (Doesn’t it go well with this purple stripped sweatshirt?!)

And the moment everyone has been waiting for….Princess ELSA!  All Bailey really wanted for Christmas was this dress.  Grandma and Grandpa came through big.  For Bailey, Christmas could be over.

We are so glad Grandma and Grandpa made the trip.  We had a fun time!
