The end of a school year is always bittersweet for these kids. This year they both were so successful and we are just so proud of them. It wasn't easy. So many transitions. So many learning locations. So many adjustments. So much out of the ordinary that they had to be responsible for. And through it all they still got smarter, learned a ton and grew as individuals. And their teacher's were amazing.
Grant -
At Grant's school they came up with awards that were so perfect for each child. Grant earned the "hype man" award and I love it. It is SO him. He is always up for anything. If you phrase it right, he will get the class to do whatever you want! And if party is part of the title....look out! He started inviting people to his March birthday party in November!
Usually Andrew and Bailey's school do a large awards program but this year they did smaller virtual celebrations. I was glad they allowed the parents to see still. These people make me so happy.
At the school-wide assembly, Andrew earned the Art award.
In his classroom awards, Andrew earned the "morning person" award. I love his teacher! He was the kid that was dropped off first every day. Like drop off started at 7:30 and he was there at 7:31. Every. Day. He beat his teacher most days. And then it became a thing. He would have a joke for her or would hide in the cubbies. You know, typical Andrew things.
I love you buddy! Keep being you.
Bailey-
Bailey earned the Technology Award for her class at the school-wide assembly.
She also earned the "all A's" medal for all of 4th grade. So amazing. She worked hard. She is smart. There were three kids. Total. She was one of them. Thank you to her teachers for pushing her and supporting her and appreciating her. She will miss you.
So in the midst of it all, another successful year. But summer - HERE WE COME!!
