Back to School - Virtually

The time came where we all went back to school.  Grant is actually in a "school" and the rest of us are learning/teaching from home for now.  We are currently in phase 1, all virtual.  I think everyone was ready for more of a routine and to get our brains' going.  Here's our first few days!

Grant went back a week before everyone else...he was so excited.

The set up!

I had arranged some helper teachers to come assist Andrew with time management and self-control!  However, he is now mostly on his own and doing well (most days!).

(Please note, these were a practice with just ME as the teacher.  Shirts REQUIRED!)

From the beginning to now, we have adjusted a little and really fallen into a good routine.  I am outside, so thankful for the porch!  Andrew works at the kitchen table and Bailey has moved into her room.  It's working right now, we will see what happens next week!

I will say I am enjoying our little lunch/recess outings.  I miss these little times when we are in real school.

Maybe not funny, but we couldn't stop laughing at these geese.  Their bottoms are totally up in the air for all to see!  They (we) thought it was hilarious.  For real, it's the little things.  Maybe you just had to be there.

I still think we need "real" school.  But this is working for us for now and I know we are safe. We will see how long it lasts.

August - Eudora Farms

We checked it out!  It was a blast!  Eudora Farms (drive through) Safari Adventure was fun.  It was busy the day we went and we had to sit between animals, but how cool to see these things up close.

By far, this guy was the nastiest.  Look at that drool!!  AHH.  Get it out of my car.  Our friends laughed at me.  She said I put up with a ton and that string of spit is what gets me!  Eww.  I'm still grossed out just looking at it.

After seeing all those other animals, they decided to be scared of this little alpaca!

All Grant wanted to do was feed the giraffe.  He saved all his food just for this guy.  He was so happy!

I think the big animals scared Andrew a little.  But he was happy to interact with these little guys!  So soft!

What a fun experience.  We have to take BJ!

August - Rock Hill trail

The kids and I decided to have an adventure to Rock Hill.  I wanted to pick peaches and BJ knew of a trail we could check out.  So we loaded up the car with our bikes and hit the road!  We had such a good time exploring.  Only problem - peach picking ended so we had to settle for ice cream!  No one complained.  ha!

We rode to the 2 mile post.  It mostly follows the river, but has hills that are a little challenging.  The kids hung in there and did great!

SNACK BREAK!

On the way back we found a water spot to stop and cool off.

We rearranged A LOT of rocks this day.  I think Andrew found his limit with this one.

We were able to get pre-picked peaches, but it just wasn't the same experience.  But the ice cream WAS GOOD!
