Grant–6 month photo shoot!

I dusted off the big camera and took way more than I should have.  Happy Half Birthday to you, Grant!

It’s so hard to get all three.  At least they are in the same shot, twice!

What’s going on?

1. Zoo – We hit up the zoo last weekend and it never disappoints!  Bailey and BJ did the Sky High Safari.

2. Wagon Rides

3. Riley’s Party – One of Bailey’s closest friends had a party!  Happy Birthday!

4. Hurricane Irma – We scored a bonus day off last Monday as hurricane Irma passed through.  We made the kids go outside so they could say they experienced a hurricane.  There were probably wind gusts in the 40-50 mph range, nothing crazy.   What suprised me more than anything was how cool it was.  Maybe low 60’s. (compared to low 90’s!)

5. The last time we were at Walmart we checked out the Halloween section.  We did not purchase anything, but it was a good laugh.  I really think Andrew could pull off the “old man” costume.

Shark Head?  (It’s one of Andrew’s favorite parts in Moana…go see it, if you haven’t!)

6. Golfing….errr, trip to the beach??  I can’t tell!

7. Tree Service Needed?  We decided to cut down two big pines in our backyard since they started leaning toward our house.  This was our excitement last Thursday evening.  There were lots of helpers!  So if you ever need some trees cut down, just let me know and I’ll send them your way.  Will work for chocolate chips!

Grant–6 months

Check up stats:

• Height: 25 3/4” (15%)
• Weight: 15 lbs, 5 ounces (10%)
• Head Circumference: 42.5 cm (30’s%)

To put those measurements into perspective, at this age Andrew was 3 inches taller and 4 pounds heavier!!!!!  Bailey was 2.5 inches taller and 2.5 pounds heavier. The doctor said it wasn’t anything to worry about and that he would mostlikely grow and catch the bell curve at some point. 

All about you!

• You are on a four hour schedule.  At daycare you usually take one good nap and then a shorter cat nap or two.  When you are home we usually can get you to take two, two hour naps.
• You have been on the brink of a tooth about the whole month.  You pull at your ears, you have a runny nose, you get fussy in the middle of the night and the list goes on!  The doctor says you look good and all those things go along with teething….ugh!
• You don’t eat anything other than oatmeal.  We don’t get it.
• You love people, Andrew and Bailey are your favorite.
• You can sit by yourself for a while now.  As long as there are a few things around for you to grab and chew on, you are very satisfied.
• You are in 9 month clothes.
• You roll to your stomach and then cry because you don’t like it.  You are pretty lazy!
• You are very happy most of the time!  We love you so much.

BJ’s Birthday and Labor Day

This year BJ celebrated his birthday a record number of times… I think 5 in all.  He probably blew out his candles….once.  Good job helpers!  Here are a few photos from the big day and our weekend out at the lake.
