Halloween–It was Incredible!

Grant also got to be a tiger at school.  Grr.

Apple Pickin’

Another reason we decided to head to this area is so we could pick some apples!  We stopped at Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard on the way home and it was a great ending to an exhausting weekend.  The kids loved picking apples and didn’t want to leave!

We knew it was time to go when Grant started picking up the apples on the ground, saying “ball” and throwing them all over the place.

And when we left, we couldn’t pass up the apple donuts!  Yum.

Chimney Rock–Day 2

We headed back to Chimney Rock to explore the rest of the park the following day.  We started with the Woodland Adventure.  It was a shorter trail with 12 interactive stations for the kids to check out about animals that live in the woods.  It was perfect for Bailey and Andrew.

Then we headed up top to check out the chimney and to hike up to the top of the falls.

We did make it to the top of the falls.  A few meltdowns did occur and plenty of snacks were eaten along the way!
