Art Day and a family water fight

We got a little crafty around here.  Since we can't really go anywhere, we are getting creative! =)

Watermelon weaving!

We made blowers with mesh from an onion bag and a cut water bottle.  We dunked it in soapy paint water and made art!

BJ thought he was going to stay dry.  Ha!

"I soakin."

It was so hot.  We had to get wet.  I think we all had a good time.  I know I laughed A LOT.

Boogie Boarding and the 4th

Bailey decided she LOVES to boogie board.  While we were there we spent a TON of time actually in the ocean.  Secretly, I decided I LOVE to boogie board too. =)

And this guy just loves running!

Look out for crocs!

We had never seen the fireworks on the beach.  It was pretty neat.  Happy 4th of July!!

Daytona - Take 1!

We ended up having the chance to go to Daytona over the long 4th weekend.  We took full advantage!  It was a great preview for what's to come.  We can't wait to go back.

So probably the most memorable part of the trip was meeting this sand castle "high amateur."  The first day we were there he was working on a HUGE sand sculpture in front of the hotel next door.  Andrew asked if he could go look at it.  So we let him run over there to look.  Well...the next thing we knew, Andrew had convinced him to come over and "give him and his Dad a lesson."  The man was super kind and ACTUALLY DID!  He was teaching Andrew to make steps and windows and it was really neat.  Turns out Mr. Chip has entered in many contests and has placed in quite a few.  He did the mermaid tail below too.  I never got a real great photo, but he was really kind and had a cool hat!
