Best Week Ever!

Before we went back to school we had one full week back at home together.  We made the most of it and had field trip week where we went somewhere each day.

Monday - Bowling - We had been bowling before, but it had been a while.  We had a great time.  It wasn't this fun before.  They were hilarious.  Andrew actually got it to bounce from our gutter into the gutter on the lane next to us.  Grant's bowling ball took 6 hours to get down the lane....every. time.  And Bailey had the ball slip out of her hands backwards towards us.  I couldn't have made this stuff up.  Also, Bailey won the first and Andrew the second.  Grant even beat Andrew the first game.  Good times.

Tuesday - Zoo and Splashpad - We haven't been up to the splashpad in a while.  It was a fun change and we ran into some friends!  Even better.

I love watching the Rhinos!  It's still amazing to me when they run!  They are so big.

Dinosaur Dig!

Grant found Santa!!  He ran over to us with that and said "Santa is here!"  And then he carried him around for a while.

We usually just spend a morning there, but today we stayed the whole day.  It was fun!

Wednesday - Lake - We just came out to swim and boat.  Nothing fancy.  We had a great picnic lunch up on the cliff.  Besides the ants, it was the best place for lunch!  Too shallow to jump though.

We docked the boat to the right and then climbed up to the far left.  There was even a picnic table already up there.  Definitely a cool spot for lunch.

Thursday - Carowinds and Waterpark - This day was a bit of a bust.  It was SO busy.  I guess everyone had the same idea we did.  Last week, better go one more time.  And then it POURED.  It was one little cell that didn't move.

When it finally stopped all Andrew and Bailey wanted to do was watch a show.  (I don't blame them, their rides had lines that were so long).

In the 20 minutes that we were in the wave pool before the rain, Andrew managed to scrape his face on the bottom of the pool.

Friday - Pool and rest day.  It was a fun week but we had to have a little R and R in there too.  We lived it up as much as we could this summer.  It's always bittersweet to get back into the routine.  I know we need it, but I do miss hanging out with them!  Here's to a great school year and a chance to continue to make more memories.
