Field Trip!

Last Monday Bailey’s class went on a field trip to the bowling alley.  They had been studying about “balls” so this was their culminating experience.  They did many science experiments leading up about which balls float, bounce, etc.  BJ was able to chaperone so he took some videos and phone photos!  They also finished off the week making meatBALLS!

Lexington County Egg Hunt!

Well, the Easter season officially kicked off tonight with the Lexington County Recreation Commission’s Annual Egg Hunt.

Bounce Houses!

Andrew is “jumping” on the left (he puts one foot up in the air).  On the right, he just laid down – too tired to continue!

As you can see, Andrew wanted NO part of the Easter Bunny.

Egg Hunt!

IMG_1439IMG_1447IMG_1444IMG_1434

Andrew hunted on the 0-1’s field.  The whole thing was fenced in and all Andrew would do is pick up the egg and then go to the nearest fence and throw it over!  He didn’t put ONE egg in his basket.  But he DID find some cookies!  Oh, and all the eggs are called “balls.”  He was in heaven.

It was fun!  I couldn’t have done it without MawMaw and PawPaw!

Stats -

  • Height – 33 inches (97%)
  • Weight – 25lbs, 14ounces (88%)
  • Head Circumference – 46 cm (77%)

Other things you have been doing:

  • You have 4 teeth on the bottom and 3 on the top – with the 4th one well on its way.
  • Most days you sleep one afternoon nap.  Sometimes still a morning nap if you are cranky!
  • You LOVE being outside.  You wander around with your bat in your hand, but don’t really stray from home.  Just up and down the driveway, down the side walk and back, etc.  You also enjoy playing on playgrounds and are able to climb and slide pretty much on your own.
  • Balls are your favorite thing to play with.  You throw them and shoot them and kick them and chase them.
  • You are saying new words each day.  Newest ones include: bubbles (which you love), bat and brush (as in tooth brush).
  • You are starting to understand us more and more.  You run to the bath tube when we say “bath time.”  If we ask you to help clean up, you will help a little.
  • You are still a handful and keep us on our toes.  You get into things you know you shouldn’t and have a “I know I am up to something bad” look/facial expression.  You just don’t stay in one place for more than 30 seconds….ever.
  • When you don’t get your way, you throw a 3 second tantrum and then you are over it and on to the next thing.  Kind of funny.
  • You do enjoy books, particularly ones with flaps.  You don’t read for long, but will bring a book and back up to sit in our laps to read to you.
  • You sleep with a blanket and still have your pacifiers at night time (except when you throw them out).
  • You do not hug or cuddle or snuggle. =(.   But you do have a great high-5!
  • You eat basically everything we offer you.  Your favorites are still penne noodles with red sauce, buttered toast and bananas.
  • You are in size 24 month clothing and size 5 diapers.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Doesn’t get much better than an 80 degree day with Shamrock Shakes!

And then BJ started testing the outside water pressure and things got CRAZY!

Andrew’s New Name

Andrew has a new name.  His new favorite thing to carry around is this bat.  He doesn’t really use it for anything, sometimes he hits the ball.  He just carries it with him all over when we are outside.  We call him Bamm Bamm.
