The chair wasn’t working out so well, so we put you in a “boat.”

All about you!

  • The best word used to describe you is: wild.  You go from one thing to another to another and another.  Your attention span is 30 seconds.  You love the playground and being outside.
  • You love the water, love to splash (especially during bath time).  You cry out “ool” every time we turn out of the neighborhood and you realize we aren’t headed there.
  • The only time you cuddle or hug is when you fall down or get hurt.
  • You have a temper and lay down kicking when you don’t get your way.
  • You still love balls.  Your newest skill is riding the plasma car!  You love it!  You have finally figured out how to go forward!
  • Your favorite foods are pizza, hotdogs (“dotdogs”), and mac and cheese.  What good quality foods, we are such good parents.  You do love strawberries and cooked carrots too.
  • The only color you say is yellow.  So everything is yellow when we ask what color something is.
  • You are cutting three molars at once.  Really fun.

The weather finally broke so we were able to get outside for a few decent shots.  A few turned out OK.  You ended up being more interested in the sand.  Go figure.

And then it turned into this:

Piratesville Splash Park!

Today some friends invited us to a cool splash park about an hour from here.  With a pirate theme, how could it go wrong!  We had a great time!!

IMG_2718IMG_2712

Despite the photos, Andrew LOVED the crocodile and would have stayed on this all day.   He got upset when he had to take turns!

IMG_2731IMG_2719

Bailey’s comment after we left was “that was WAY more fun than I thought it would be!”

This was an umbrella sprayer that she kept getting underneath.

IMG_2736

Andrew got a kick out of spraying Bailey when she would go by!  Then they got the idea to spray ME!  Wait a minute!

IMG_2742IMG_2744

The longer slide.  Andrew would go down the angled parts and then get stuck and have to scooch to get to the next slide part.

Yes, it’s still HOT.  We are finding ways to beat the heat!

It’s Summer!–VBS

Last week we did Vacation Bible School at our church!  It was the first year I served, so Bailey and Andrew were allowed to attend too!  It was “Minion Madness” as we learned to “Know the Master: Know the Mission.”  Just like Minions, we serve one God and follow his instructions from the bible.  Each day we learned about a different “mission” and focused on a specific person in the bible.

Here you can see Ruth’s basket of wheat and Peter’s fish.

Even Andrew’s class got into it with their minion feet!

It’s Hot.

Andrew could care less.  He goes under and bounces right up like nothing happened.

And what would you think if you saw THIS driving down the road?IMG_20150614_180841

Beverly Hillbillies anyone?

It’s Summer!–Frogs

The first week of summer started great!  We learned many things about frogs!  We watched Princess and the Frog, went on a field trip to the lily pad pond, read frog books, and made many “froggy” projects!

IMG_2635IMG_2609

We pretended to be frogs and leapt on our lily pads.   We ended up decorating them with stickers!  Bailey was trying to jump the numbers in order.

IMG_2628IMG_2631IMG_2629

We made our own lily pads with flowers.  We added frogs and bugs to them.

IMG_2633IMG_2632

Of course we sang “Five Green and Speckled Frogs” and learned about the lifecycle.  Who has ever heard of a “Froglet?”  Even I learned something new!

Our “field trip”  =)

IMG_2618

Look at all the lily pads!!  This is actually in our neighborhood so one morning we loaded up the stroller and headed out!  It is a little farther than we usually go so it was a new experience.  There is a sidewalk all the way around it that Andrew actually stayed on!

IMG_2621

I saw quite a few frogs jumping around, but I think they were too fast for the kids!  They would see the water splash as they jumped in.

IMG_2619

We did find this guy out in the middle of the road, so we returned him back to the pond.

IMG_2617

Bailey was making sure Andrew went the right direction.  They can be so cute!

Here are a ton of us, I couldn’t narrow it down!

BJ and Bailey were flying and jumping waves!

IMG_2591IMG_2601

Before we left we tried turning the tube around.  Oh what fun!
