Grant–8 months
All about Grant!
- You love to be on the loose. You crawl around and explore, pull up whenever you feel like it. You generally stay out of trouble and will listen when we say “No.”
- You will sit and play with toys. You love a balloon. You also love to follow and torture Andrew by getting into his toys. When you get excited you flap your arms up and down and grin.
- You are in 9-12 month clothes.
- Your eating schedule is pretty much the same. You will eat most foods….except green veggies. We have avoided acidic stuff because we think it may cause a stomachache. We have tried a few solid puffs, but you end up gagging most of the time.
- You are a pretty content, laid back baby. Also pretty tough. It takes a pretty big fall/crash to make you flinch.
- Your favorite toys: activity tables, cube, anything you can chew on and the crocodile ball thing.
This was the first month where it was quite a challenge to take these photos!

It’s MAUI Time!!!
This year our theme for Halloween was Moana! I think Andrew actually decided he wanted to be Maui first and then everyone else fell in line! It was fun =)
Grant got to be Hei Hei! Not a very bright Chicken, but funny! He also got to ride in a wayfinder!
We carved our pumpkin the night before. The kids and BJ wanted to give it sharp teeth!
When Grant wasn’t dressed as a chicken, he also got to be a warm, snuggly bear.
Happy Halloween!
Grant’s Dedication
Mark 10:16
16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
Proverbs 22:6
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
A couple weekend’s ago, we attended the Dedication Ceremony for Grant. They had a nice little ceremony followed by refreshments.
Here we are up on stage when Grant’s name was called.
And afterward….
And Grant with his Grandparents!
We love you Grant!
On a side note… the other night Andrew and I were up in the play room. And he said “Do you know that the ninja turtles stay up all night?” and I said “To protect us?” and he replied with “Yes, like God does.” So – apparently God has some mighty helpers! (I guess they help the angels?!?)
