First Hunt of the Season!

We attended the Lexington County Egg Hunt and had some fun!

Nothing but pure joy on that carnival ride!

Grant’s first hunt!  Andrew was a great brother and helped teach him!

Getting ready for the older kids!

We had fun!

Any Similarities?

Here they all are at 1 year!

They are a mess!  That’s all I know!  And I love every minute of it!

Grant–1 year

G - 12

Measurements!

  • Height – 29.6 (39%tile)  That predicts you to be 5’10”.  We will see!
  • Weight – 19 lbs, 12 ounces (24%tile)
  • Head Circumfrence – 17.9 (32%tile)

To put that into perspective Andrew was 1.5” taller and 5 pounds heavier.  Bailey was 1” taller and 4 pounds heavier!

  • You still just have two teeth on the bottom.
  • You are eating SO much more than in the past.  You eat basically everything we eat.  You still like baby oatmeal for breakfast, but everything else is table food.  You drink from sippy cups during the day and get one bottle at night.  As soon as this formula runs out we will switch you to 2% milk.  I would say mac and cheese, peas and bananas are your favorite.
  • You are very happy and content and go with the flow.  If your nap gets postponed or skipped it is OK.  You are close to dropping the morning nap.  At day care they have moved you up to the next room where they only take one.  It makes you exhausted at the end of the day.
  • You still don’t really say actual words, but you have sounds that are close for “ball” and “more.”  You also say “uhh, uhh”  if you REALLY need something.
  • You are in 12 month clothes still, but they are getting tighter!!
  • You blow kisses and suck your lips to make a kissy sound.  You can wave and clap and play peek a boo.
  • You are a great walker, kind of march with your knees up.  You also have developed a “quick” speed for when you know you are being bad and need to get away!  (Spot the bathroom door open, climbing the stairs, bothering the older kids, etc.)
  • In the last week or so you have really started understanding simple commands…put your toy in here or take that to Daddy, etc.
  • You love wearing your shoes!  You will get them from the basket and carry them around.
  • You have gotten two “bad” reports from school.  They say you will walk backwards up to your smaller (stationary) friends and sit on them!! eek!
  • You have a very sweet, mostly calm personality.  You mostly mind your business and enjoy being around others.  You do get excited, bother your brother and sister every now and then, and are cranky when you are tired.  But we still love you! =)

Bailey’s first tooth…

Bailey lost her first tooth!  Finally.  She is the last one in her class.  All her friends have lost 3 or more.  The tooth fairy came and left $3.00.  Now Andrew wants to lose all his.

Andrew’s question, “Does the Tooth Fairy work for Santa Claus?”

Quick Catch up!

A few other things we have done!

1. Park night!  One Friday we grabbed dinner and ate at the park!  Now that Grant has figured out how to walk in shoes he has so many more options when we head out!

2. Home Depot with Mamaw!  Never knew a periscope could be so cool.  They have played “spy” ever since!

3. Fire pit – hot dogs and smores!
