The end of July and first half of August were pretty busy livin’ the summer life! Here are a some highlights:
1. Lemonade and Burgers?
2. Build-a-Bear – We did get into the madness of the “pay your age day.” We drove to our build-a-bear location, saw the line, reversed and walked back out. Bailey was seriously willing to wait all day. The rest of us, not so much. The kids were disappointed, but thrilled to get the vouchers later. This was their first “build” experience and they had a good time!
3. Lowe’s – When things get really slow, go to Lowe’s and play on the tractors! Word to the wise….make sure the keys aren’t laying around..unless you REALLY want to play around! They might not like that, though.
4. Park time! We checked out this park when we were on the other side of town. Pretty fun!
5. Pool time! We go to the pool alot…not sure why I don’t have more photos. humm.
6. The Community Superheros. Neighborhood Watch in action. One day they decided to take lassos and swords on our walk. I guess that stop sign was acting up again?? (Seriously, who needs toys? A rope one day and a broom another?!)
7. Dress-up – I just don’t get why they insist on dumping out the ENTIRE box for one thing?
Grant’s cape kept turing backwards. Superhero wardrobe malfunction!
8. Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile! – We actually saw it!! How cool to drive up on a hot dog car!!!!!!!!!!!! As I did some research, I learned that there are actually 6 and that they are LOOKING FOR DRIVERS!!!? What do you think? Would BJ mind if I left him with the kids for a while to go drive a giant hot dog around the country?!? Maybe my future profession.
9. Bounce Houses – I needed the kids to be worn out. Well worth the money.
I love these sweet moments when they think no one is looking or noticing how much they compliment each other.
Goodbye Summer. We will miss you.
Now back to schedules and routines and the hectic pace of fall! Bring. it. on.
